TECHNOLOGY CIS CONTEX SCANNER
CIS SCANNING SYSTEM
- Typically uses low-power light-emitting diodes (LED) to light up the document
- The LED light is passed through a light pipe to ensure even distribution of light across the entire scan line. The light is then reflected by the document and captured by a glass rod lens, directing the light towards the image sensors which capture the pixel
- Gap between light source and document has to be kept within the distance of 1mm
DESCRIPTION TECHNOLOGY CIS
- Light Source : LED
- Image Capturing Device : Image Sensors
- Resolution : Resolution could be lower than listed
- Colour Space : Reduced color gamut
- Geometric Distortion : Stable illumination system, little recalibration necessary
- Depth of Focus : CIS devices typically produce lower image quality compared to CCD devices; in particular, the depth of field is greatly limited, which poses a problem for material that is not perfectly flat.
Contex Natural Light
IQ scanners use new CIS modules with dual diffusion. By using correct diffusion in IQ scanners you get the most natural light in any CIS scanner.
Natural light is diffused light that creates soft shadows. | Single sided LED light traditionally causes hard shadows. | Dual sided LED light normally creates 2 hard shadows. | Contex New Dual Diffusion CIS Modules in IQ scanners ensures the must natural representation of any image. |
